History Wardrobe presents:
Clogs & Crinolines - 950 years of Fashion (with a Yorkshire twist)
A whistle-stop tour of clothes history through antique prints and original garments from the History Wardrobe collection, with dress historian Lucy Adlington
7pm GMT June 10th 2021
Textiles tell the story of a place. In Clogs & Crinolines we explore a millennium of clothes and accessories, looking at the lives of the people who made and wore them – at home, in factories, on the land, at the seaside & out on the town.
The talk has a Yorkshire theme, charting the county's strong textile heritage from the Viking era to modern designers: cow-hide to Crimplene!
Clogs & Crinolines will be a live zoom presentation, lasting about an hour, with time for chat & questions afterwards.
Ticket-holders will be sent a zoom link before the presentation.
